sw-costumes: Anakin Skywalker | Episode III Concept Art Throughout much of the pre-visualisation for Episode III, Anakin Skywalker was illustrated with long hair tied together with a string at the back of his head. However, when if came to actually deciding upon the look of the character, both George Lucas and actor Hayden Christensen felt that the look was too “pretty” and Anakin didn’t look rugged enough, so the original wig was cut to the shoulder length we see in the movie.
